The Poladian Project is named in honour of Associate Professor Leon Poladian. Leon was a graduate and staff member of the University of Sydney, and Director of the National Maths Summer School.
Leon had many intellectual interests spanning (but not limited to) physics, maths, maths education, science fiction, language, film and theatre, human rights, biology and art. The connecting themes of his professional life were interdisciplinarity and education. He was a brilliant researcher and lecturer, who inspired some of the brightest minds of a generation. We hope that through the Poladian Project, we will be able to continue, and amplify, his legacy.
